Documentation & support

This section will grow with each product we ship. For now it sets out how our documentation will be organised, answers the questions we're asked most, and tells you exactly how to reach us.

Getting started

Each product will launch with its own getting-started guide following this structure:

  1. Requirements

Supported WordPress and PHP versions, and any companion plugins (for template kits, the free Elementor plugin).

  2. Installation

Installing the theme or plugin from your WordPress dashboard or by upload, and activating your Pro licence key where applicable.

  3. First-run setup

Importing starter content or templates, setting global colours and typography, and building your first page.

  4. Going further

Customisation recipes, recommended settings and upgrade notes.

Status: product-specific guides will be published here when our first product reaches early access. Nothing is available to download yet.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

When will your first product be available?

We're not announcing a date until we're confident in it. The honest answer is: when it's good. Join the early-access list by emailing team@themecanvas.uk and you'll hear the moment anything ships.

Will there be free versions?

Yes — where a product suits it, we plan to publish a free GPL version on WordPress.org, with a Pro upgrade that adds features and includes 1 year of updates and email support.

What does a Pro licence include?

One year of updates and support from the date of purchase. After that year the software keeps working; renewing extends updates and support. Full terms will be published with each product and are governed by our Terms of Use.

Do your themes require Elementor Pro or other paid plugins?

No. Our block themes need only WordPress itself, and our Elementor template kits are being built against the free Elementor plugin.

Can I use one licence on multiple sites?

Free GPL versions: unlimited sites. Pro licence tiers (single-site, multi-site) will be published with pricing at launch — we'll keep it simple and clearly worded.

What's your refund policy?

Support-first: if something doesn't work, we'll try to fix it quickly — and if we can't make the product work for you within 14 days of purchase, we'll refund it. Your statutory rights as a UK/EU consumer are unaffected. See the Refunds section of our Terms.

Do you offer custom development?

Yes — custom themes, plugins, business websites and WooCommerce builds. See our Services page for the process and indicative timelines.

Support

Support

Email: team@themecanvas.uk

Response time: we aim to reply to every support email within 1 business day (Monday–Friday, UK time). Include your WordPress and PHP versions and a description of what you expected versus what happened — it genuinely halves the back-and-forth.

The same address serves as the support contact for any mobile applications we publish on the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Changelog

Every product will keep a public, dated changelog here — versions, fixes and breaking-change warnings in plain English.

Launching with our first product. This changelog is intentionally empty until there is a real release to record — we don't publish placeholder version history.
