The canvas idea

A good canvas doesn't tell the painter what to paint. It's simply well-made: properly stretched, evenly primed, ready for whatever comes next.

That's how we think about WordPress themes and templates. Too many products arrive pre-painted — heavy with demo content, locked to one look, slow with features you'll never use. We build the opposite: clean, fast foundations with generous whitespace and one confident accent, that stay out of your way while you make the site yours.

Theme Canvas UK was incorporated in 2026 and we're honest about being early-stage: our first products are still on the easel, and we don't dress the studio up with invented clients or borrowed praise. What you see on this site is exactly where we are.

Where we work

We're based in Hillsborough, a village in County Down, Northern Ireland — better known for its castle and its lake than its software, which suits us fine. We work with product customers and custom-build clients anywhere, in UK time.

What we care about

• Performance and accessibility as defaults, not add-ons
• Plain-English documentation and licensing
• No lock-in: you own your site and your content
• Honest marketing — if it's in development, we say so
